No New Posts Eagle Peak

Grey Mountain, renamed by the wolves Eagle Peak, is the center of their territory. The sides are steep, littered with boulders and covered in dense undergrowth. The higher up, the less trees but more sheep and mountain goats for the pack to hunt. All around the base of the mountain, creeks have cut deep ravines into the forest and footing is often unsteady. More than one wolf has met his end by literally falling down the mountain chasing a fleet-footed doe.

No New Posts Cold Brier Creek

Cold Brier Creek is a small tributary that branches off the Thunder River and flows south to Blue Heron Lake. The whole length of the creek winds through Eagle Peak territory and is where the pack fishes and gets most of its water. Hunting here is good but the creek is tempramental, making crossing iffy. In some places, the waters are calm but a few yards down there are rough rapids. The creek runs deep and fast making it dangerous for light wolves and pups.

No New Posts Rowan Hollow

Skirting Grey Mountain, park rangers dubbed the woodland Rowan Hollow because of the abundance of Rowan trees. For the most part, the forest is dense with thickets and foliage around the large trees but there are surprising pockets of clearing, kept dark by spreads of dark leaves overhead.

Board Description
Eagle Peak Territories
Grey Mountain National Park is also known as the Eagle Peak because many bald eagle nest along the Thunder River. The mountain itself is formidable and steep, deeply forested and scarred with deep ravines and hidden hollows. The wolves that live here are sure-footed and enduring, commanding a large portion of territory but constantly coming at odds with the Thunder River Pack about the river. Currently, the Eagle Peak wolves can not approach the river for several miles and make due with mountain streams or water.
